SJV NAMES NEW BOWLING HEAD COACH

Saint John Vianney High School has announced Stephanie Brogna will succeed Bill Kusch as the Boys and Girls Head Bowling Coach. Brogna has been the teams’ assistant coach for the past two seasons and is looking forward to her first season in her new position.

Brogna graduated from Saint John Vianney in 2016, where she was a member of the varsity team for all four years and earned many team and individual titles, including two NJ State Sectional Group 1 titles, a Division Championship, top finishes in the Monmouth County Tournament, and a qualification for the Shore Conference Tournament. Following graduation, she went on to get a Bachelor’s Degree from Chestnut Hill College where she competed on the NCAA Division II bowling team. In college, Brogna received recognition for both her academic and athletic excellence.

Outside of her coaching career, Brogna works as the Editorial and Business Development Assistant for Bella Magazine and also serves as the Social Media Coordinator for Tom Russo Photography.

Since starting with Saint John Vianney Bowling in 2020, Brogna has helped coach the girls' team to an undefeated season in their division which saw them advance to the Shore Conference Team Championships, and the boys' team drastically improve their statistics. Brogna has been key to both teams’ successes and has used her advanced knowledge of the sport to help the athletes better develop their skills.

Brogna is excited to build upon the success of the program’s most recent season and proceed to motivate and challenge the team to try new methods to improve their game.

“Of her new position, Brogna said she is eager to “continue to be a part of the SJV family and share my passion with future generations in the place where my love for bowling began.”
