Saint John Vianney High School offers two organizations that help parents remain involved in their children's educational activities. We believe that parents who are involved with supporting their child's Catholic school help students to succeed.
Members of the Parent-Teacher Association work closely with our administration to fund projects that contribute to the academic success of our students. In the past, the PTA renovated the Student Dining Room, the Little Theater, and the bathrooms outside the gym. It has also purchased trash cans that display the school logo, trophy cases, and rugs that help inspire school spirit in our students.
Our PTA Executive Board meets monthly. We are honored to be part of the Diocesan PTA organization, and all parents are welcome to participate. On top of the improvements the PTA makes to the school, it also provides hospitality at various functions, including the National Honor Society Induction, Open Houses, Memorial Mass, and Senior Communion Breakfast.
The PTA is very active: it assists with homecoming and sponsors fundraisers, including the Tuition Raffle, Gift Auction, and Poinsettia Sale. All parents are encouraged to join the PTA to show support for our students.
Black & Gold Sport and Activity Club
Parents, alumni, and others who want to support extracurricular activities and the Saint John Vianney Lancer athletic program can join the Black & Gold Sport and Activity Club. The participants in this club offer moral and financial support for student activities. There are regularly scheduled social meetings to promote the ideals upon which our Catholic school was founded. Anyone who has a child enrolled at SJVHS is welcome to attend meetings. You can also choose to offer your talents and time to the Black & Gold Sport and Activity Club to help provide a unified support system for our amazing students.
