WITH GEORGIAN COURT UNIVERSITY
In the Fall of 2019, Saint John Vianney High School will begin offering dual- enrollment courses with Georgian Court University. These dual- enrollment courses will allow our high school students to earn college credits during their four years at SJVHS. Saint John Vianney High School faculty members, who are adjunct professors with Georgian Court University, will teach these courses on the SJV campus. When a student completes a dual-enrollment course offered at SJVHS through Georgian Court University, the student will have a Georgian Court University transcript. Students in grades 9 through 12 will have the opportunity to take a dual- enrollment course offered through the Course Ahead program.
The following course are offered:
- DE Drawing I (Grades 9*- 12)
- DE Christian Tradition (Grade 12)
- DE Foundations of Exercise Science & Wellness (Grades 11 & 12)
- DE Contemporary Economics (Grades 10 - 12)
- DE Introduction to Business & Personal Finance (Grades 9-12)
GEORGIAN COURT & SJV AGREEMENT
On February 27, 2017, Saint John Vianney High School and Georgian Court University signed an agreement for collaboration between two Catholic educational institutions in the Diocese of Trenton. Through this collaboration, Georgian Court University offers special consideration to graduates of Saint John Vianney High School who choose to attend GCU for their post-secondary education. Graduates of Saint John Vianney High School’s Early College Academy, operated in conjunction with Brookdale Community College, will receive the opportunity to earn an MBA at the end of four years of education at GCU.
All Saint John Vianney High School graduates will receive automatic acceptance to Georgian Court University with a strong financial aid package which will be based on final GPA and SAT scores.
