COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (7/31 - 8/16 ; 9am - 12pm ; grade 9) This course emphasizes the new skills required to use the Tablet PC with SJV's network. Keyboarding techniques, word processing (including MLA format for term paper production), presentation, and spreadsheet software are used. Use of computer peripherals, saving and backing up files as well as data organization skills will be covered.
FRESHMEN READINESS REVIEW - ENGLISH (8/6 - 8/16 ; 9am - 10am ; grade 9) This course will prepare incoming freshmen to be on pace with the freshmen level english curriculum. *Strongly suggested for incoming freshmen who did not perform well on the HSPT or who need extra help in English and/or writing before September.
FRESHMEN READINESS REVIEW - MATH (8/6 - 8/16 ; 10am - 11am ; grade 9) This course will prepare incoming freshmen to be on pace with the freshmen level math curriculum. *Strongly suggested for incoming freshmen who did not perform well on the HSPT or who need extra help before entering into Algebra 1 in September.
