Fundraising and Events
Saint John Vianney High School’s propensity to generate excellent students and outstanding graduates year after year, is to a certain extent, a result of the generous support and allegiance of our school community – our parents, alumni and friends.
Saint John Vianney High School has several fundraising events during the school year that award everyone the opportunity to support our curriculum and extra-curricular offerings. Please plan on taking part in one or more of these events. Not only do they provide funding over and above the tuition collected, they help to develop strong friendships and school spirit for all. Community dynamism is not only strong and enduring at Saint John Vianney High School but key to its future.

On Sunday, January 8th SJV will participate in the 10th Annual Ancient Order of Hibernians’ Polar Plunge. The Plunge will take place at Rooney’s on the beach north of Pier Village in Long Branch.
This event is held solely for the purpose of helping Catholic Education and the funds raised by the event are used for, financial aid, endowments and facility projects. Pledge forms and information will be sent home in December.
All participating schools get 100% of the funds they raise! SJV will give 50% of the funds raised by each activity/sport BACK to that activity/sport!
Full Tuition Raffle
The 2016/2017 Full Tuition Raffle will be mailed out
in March 2017.
For SJV students, the value of this raffle covers the full 2016/2017 SJV school tuition.
If you have a graduate of SJV, you can then use it to pay for part of your college tuition. If you have younger children, use it for your grammar school tuition. This prize is not valid for any other high school other than Saint John Vianney High School. All you need to do is present us with a valid tuition bill and Saint John Vianney will pay your tuition. If your tuition is less than the value of the raffle – you can carry over a tuition credit until you utilize the full amount. Saint John Vianney High School will pay the winner’s tuition (not to exceed the 2017/2018 school year’s cost), to private or catholic, grammar school, pre- school, SJVHS only, post-secondary school or even graduate school. Every family, including the incoming class and our alumni, is eligible to participate in this fundraiser! Tickets are $25.00 each or book of 5 for $100.00. Drawing will take place on June 29th at SJVHS. Winner need not be present.
Hosted by SJVHS PTA and Gallos Wine Cellar of Aberdeen, this event will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017, 7:00 to 10:00 PM in the Student Dining Room at Saint John Vianney High School. Enjoy tastings from over 40 Distributors of Fine Wines, Spirits & Craft Beers and a light fare of food. Dance to great music and take a chance in our 50/50 raffle and/or gift basket raffle. ADMISSION is $40 in Advance • $45 at the Door.

This is a Fun Filled springtime event for our students to get outside and enjoy great music, contests, challenges on large inflatables, and a BBQ lunch while raising money for SJVHS through pledges. Seniors get to “walk & run” and have off the day of their prom if they meet their pledge requirement. Everyone is eligible for three top pledge prizes and other incentives. Donations and sponsorship are always welcome for this event going towards event tee shirts, food, prizes and inflatables. This year’s walk will take place on Thursday, May 11th. Pledge sheets and information will be mailed home during Easter Break.
Half Tuition Raffle
The half tuition raffle is valued at $6100.00. The half tuition raffle is mailed out end-of-summer and will be drawn on November 10th, 2016 at 8:00pm during conferences. Tickets are $25.00 each or book of 5 for $100.00. Tickets will also be sold at Back to School Night and other evening events leading up to the drawing date.
MEGA Cash Raffle
Our MEGA Cash Raffle is drawn at our Casino Night/Gift Auction taking place on April 28, 2017 at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club. The MEGA Cash Raffle is a chance to win one of three cash prizes in a 50/50 like drawing. Tickets are $25.00 each or a book of 5 for $100.00. Past winners have won prizes over $5000.00. Winner need not be present at drawing. Tickets will be available for sale in December and will be sold up until 11:00 pm on April 28th.
