Christmas Collection

This year SJV successfully sponsored a total of 161 children for Christmas!  Through the support of our students, parents, faculty and staff we were able to make this a special Christmas for every one of these children.

The final list of children came to us from a few different agencies, including Project Paul, The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, and Headstart of Keyport.  Each child was given one or more gifts according to their "Christmas Wish."  The gifts were delivered to the agencies on December 16th where they were distributed directly to the families in need.

We owe a special and heartfelt "thank you" to all the individuals who supported this collection by sponsoring a child.  Many individuals even sponsored numerous children!  We are truly thankful for all of those who made this collection such a success.

The SJV community remembers each of you in prayer, and will remain dedicated throughout this New Year to bring help and joy to those in need.

 

Thanksgiving Collection

On Monday, November 21, we delivered the food we collected for the Holiday Hunger Challenge to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Counties.  We're  proud to say that SJV brought in a total of 2,075 pounds of food!!  We literally donated A TON of food!  Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to clinch the heavy weight title. There’s always next year! Thank you for your support during this collection. When we work together as a community, we have the ability to have a tremendous impact on those around us.  Thank you again for helping make this collection successful.
