The instructional program at St. John Vianney High School is geared toward college preparation with Honors, Advanced Placement and special interest courses available in all disciplines. As a Catholic School, St. John Vianney requires all students to take a Religious Studies course yearly.

The school’s unique Block Schedule allows its teachers a longer period of time for instruction. The 4x4-class schedule enrolls students in four courses a semester, which meet every day for 90 days. Year long courses are completed in one semester. The Block Schedule allows teachers to vary teaching methods more often, to further develop certain topics and to help students on a more individual basis. Students have fewer subjects to concentrate on; they may master or re-mediate in certain subject areas.

The academic information included within these pages is geared to providing curriculum information, academic department links to teacher/class websites, student and teacher awards as well as links to the Guidance Office and the Library/Media Center.
