Block Schedule
The block schedule creates a longer block of time for instruction. The 4 x 4 schedule enrolls students in four courses which meet every day for 90 days. Year long courses are completed in one semester. On Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays of every week in each semester students will follow a forward schedule for Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Block 1 and 5 only will be interchanged. (Block 3 is always lunch for everyone.)
 
The different block “letter” schedules were designed to incorporate scheduling of assemblies, early dismissals and school delays. Known schedule changes are listed in the St. John Vianney High School Calendar – Handbook.  Following are the various bell schedules:
