The athletic program is an integral part of the education process at Saint John Vianney High School. The program promotes greater desire in our student body and community to take an active part in athletics, either as participants or spectators.
In order to participate in Saint John Vianney Athletic Programs, every student athlete must complete this packet and submit it to the SJV Nurse and/or Athletic Office prior to the deadline date, as define in this packet of information.
ATHLETIC TEAMS AND FACILITIES
The athletic facilities at Saint John Vianney High School are the finest in Monmouth County, made up of 38 acres, including a lighted turf athletic stadium. Active athletic teams during the spring season at Saint John Vianney High School include three baseball teams, three softball teams, two golf teams, five lacrosse teams, one tennis team, and two volleyball teams. In the winter, six basketball teams, two ice hockey teams, two swimming teams, five track teams, two wrestling teams, and two bowling teams are active. During the fall, active teams include of two cross-country teams, three football teams, two field hockey teams, one tennis team, six soccer teams, and three volleyball teams.
