At Saint John Vianney High School, our student musicians take courses in band, choir, guitar, piano, or general music from our music teacher, who is also a professional musician. Many students take elective courses in music to round out their educational experiences, others to study under a well-known and respected professional. Beyond the classroom, our music organizations provide a variety of services to the school community. The BAND performs at many school events, including concerts and football games, and the CHORUS performs at all school masses and concerts, opening many evening events with the national anthem. The Show Choir performs during the Christmas Season and other special events.
The Theater Program at Saint John Vianney High School offers our student thespians practical experiences in all aspects of theater, including acting, production work, and academic studies. Our Drama Club offers our students opportunities in acting and technical theater. Two to three major productions during the school year provide our students with a broad exposure to and well-balanced background in a variety of styles, eras, and production issues. Our theater directors choose productions that showcase our students’ individual talents.
