The Saint John Vianney High School Parent Organizations (PTA and Black and Gold Club) foster working relationships among parents of the school community and representatives of the school. They work together to help Saint John Vianney High School meet its students’ needs both in and out of the classroom.
THE PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION
In recent years, the PTA was able to fund various improvement projects, including renovations to the Little Theater, Student Dining Room, and bathrooms outside of the gym, as well as the painting of the school and purchase of trophy cases, rugs, trash cans with the SJVHS Logo. Additionally, the PTA provides hospitality for many school events, including Open Houses, Memorial Mass, National Honor Society Induction, and Senior Communion Breakfast. For many years, the PTA has run the Tuition Raffle, the Poinsettia sale, and the very popular Gift Auction, while remaining an active part of the SJVHS Homecoming Celebration.
The PTA Executive Board meets monthly and is a part of the Diocesan PTA organization. Every parent is urged to become an active member in the Saint John Vianney High School community through the PTA. Parental involvement in this school organization complements all that the faculty and staff strive to accomplish for the young men and women enrolled in SJVHS.
